IMPORTANT DEADLINES FOR WORK PERMIT APPLICATIONS

Deadlines plays important role in the work permit applications of foreigners. Especially with the recent developments in the Law on work permits of foreigners (Law no:4817) and after the beginning of online work permit application process through Turkish e-government portal, importance of deadlines has become more crucial. Ignorance of those deadlines stated in Turkish law may harm the work permit application process. Applicants might be obliged to re-start the work permit application process.  Moreover, employers employing foreigners may face with administrative fines, in the case of failing to fulfil their liability of notification in due time.

NOTIFICATIONS

Employers employing foreigners

New Employment

From the date on which the foreigner has started to work

In case the foreigner fails to start employment within 30 days from the date on which the work permit is issued

Within 15 Days

WORK PERMIT CANCELLATIONS

(According to article 18 of Law no:4817)

From the ending date of the employment contract for whatsoever reason

Within 15 Days
