Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital

The Basaksehir Cam & Sakura City Hospital Project is Turkey’s third largest health investment project under a Public Private Partnership (PPP) agreement model launched by the Ministry of Health and will provide services to İstanbul and its neighboring provinces. Planned to provide healthcare services to 23,600 patients, the project completed in 2020. In addition to connections through Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge and TEM access roads, a planned metro station will enable people living in Istanbul to reach the most convenient healthcare services in the fastest and most comfortable way.

With a combined bed capacity of 2,682 and an indoor construction area of 1 million m2, the Basaksehir Cam & Sakura City Hospital is recognized as the “World’s Largest Seismically Isolated Building” with 2,040 seismic isolators which are installed in its main hospital building. Equipped with world-class cutting-edge isolators, the Basaksehir Cam & Sakura City Hospital is able to seamlessly carry out all its operations, even during and after the most severe earthquake scenarios.

The Basaksehir Cam & Sakura City Hospital includes a 2,354-bed Main Hospital, a 200-bed Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Hospital and a 128-bed Psychiatric Hospital. The main hospital facility consists of six buildings surrounding a shared core building and includes General Hospital with a bed capacity of 469, Cardiovascular Diseases Hospital with a bed capacity of 327, Neurology and Orthopedics Hospital with a bed capacity of 311, Children’s Hospital with a bed capacity of 521, Gynecology Hospital with a bed capacity of 359, Oncology Hospital with a bed capacity of 367, Psychiatry Hospital with a bed capacity of 128 and Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Hospital with a bed capacity of 200.

You can reach Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital from different locations of İstanbul. You can use Europe Highway E-80/0-3 easily. You will see the signboards when you reach the Olympic Stadium Road. The city hospital will appear in front of you. Moreover, you can use our “Get direction” section to get a roadmap from your location to the hospital.

  • By Bus

There are regular bus lines to Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital. You can reach the hospital by the public buses from 2 separate lines. SH-1 Başakşehir Metrokent – Şehir Hastanesi and SH-2 Olimpiyatköy Metro – Şehir Hastanesi public bus lines run to the city hospital every day serve between 06:00 and 21:00.

  • By Railway

It is not possible to reach the hospital directly by rail system. Those who prefer rail transportation should get on Kiralı metro from Yenikapı Station. After getting off the Kiralı Station, it is necessary to get on the Metrokent metro. It is possible to reach the hospital by getting off at the Metrokent station with the IETT SH-1 bus line.
