      Dear Sir/Madam,

Our company can process your application for the residency permit. In order for us to give you this service you need to first get a valid Visa and enter Turkey. We can then start all the procedure for the application of the residency permit.

  4. I wish to travel from turkey to Southern Cyprus for a week. I have a residents permit ,are there any problems

    • ExpatGuideTurkey ExpatGuideTurkey

      Dear Mr Peter,

Since you have a residency permit in Turkey you are able to travel freely to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. However, as you might know, unfortunately the Southern Cyprus has a different status thus making it a different legislation. Shortly you will need a Visa to get to the Southern Cyprus.

      Best Regard,

  5. My prospective employer wants me to pay for my Work Permit. How much is the rate for the Work Permit?

    • ExpatGuideTurkey ExpatGuideTurkey

      Dear Mrs Gladys,

Our rate for work permit depend on the position and vacancy you will have, since different position require different types of application. If you get in touch with us by e-mail, we would be able to give you answer more acurately.

  6. I am unable to find current ‘Restrictions’ which apply to Short-term Resident Permit. Originally [in 2012] I acquired a ‘Blue Book’ 5 year Residence Permit. There was no restriction as to when I could come and go … actually it acted like a 5 Year Multiple Visa. Unfortunately this Permit will soon expire and I shall have to renew it!!

In 2014 the rules were changed, 5 year permits were scrapped, ONE YEAR permits were introduced with the RESTRICTION that anyone remaining out of Turkey for more than 120 days would have their Permit ‘Revoked’.

In August 2016 the rules regarding Short-term Residence Permits were changed again. A ‘qualifying’ person could apply for a 2 Year Permit. A person over 65 years of age needed no Health Insurance ….

My query is …. does any ‘Restriction’ regarding maximum time one can remain outside Turkey still apply … a Permit holder can come and go as they please … without any caveat or fear that the Permit will be revoked?

    Can someone please advise?
